I got the large brush below from Justman Brush Company , handle is 36" long and worked well for cleaning the Top vent adapter on the XXV without removing it from the stove. You do have to vacuum the loose ash at the opening for combustion blower. The brush also works for the channel from the...

Blown fuse and circuit board in Harman XXV

This will make the 3rd circuit board replacement on our 4 year old Harman XXV. Every time the stove power is off and it's turned back on the fuse blows, as well as the circuit board. Isn't the point of a fuse to protect the board? The board we just received is the same 3-20-05886F but the...

Hopper Extension for Harmon XXV (Non TC).

Have searched on this and it looks like it exists, but when you go there it only fits other stoves. Does this exist? Might be useful in very cold weather. I.e. Sub -20. This Winter burning 1/2 bag now. Only nights.

Harman XXV (NotTC) Igniter LED does not light on startup

I'm not really a pellet stove guy (woodburner). This is so I can help my elderly mom get her older XXV repaired. The LED on the control box for Igniter does not come on when stove is turned on. Does this mean igniter is shot or shorting out the circuit? It's not clear in the manual what this...

    Whistling in Harmon XXV

Harmon XXV in second season. Generally very happy, burning almost 24/7. Began high pitched whistling sound on and off in last 2-3 weeks. Main door gasket is flattened along top and a one corner. Am I correct in assuming a new gasket is the correct fix? Is there any danger of leakage (carbon...

I'm thinking about buying a used Harman XXV

Hi, I recently found a Harman XXV on Craigslist and I've been thinking of replacing my wood stove. My question is if the stove is worth it. It's been through 8 seasons and looks like it's been very well maintained. It looks almost brand new. The owner has only done routine maintenance and it...

Harman XXV vs Quadra Fire Vermont A E

Trying to decide between these 2 pellet stoves. Looks like the Quadra Fire pellet stoves built 10 years ago were unreliable from older forum posts. How about Now? Also, which is Quieter?

Harman XXV - overflowing ash pan in less then 2 days

We had our Harman xxv installed last October. We liked the idea of the Harman. Good quality, everyone who had one, loved them. So we spent the money, and it wasn't cheap. Ran great for the first season. Had the company we bought from come out and clean it and service it for the next season...
