The stirrer turns when I press the third button but will not turn during normal operation. This just started yesterday. Any thoughts?
I just re - read your post. Disregard my last post. Press the aot botton. What number appears. Sounds like 0. To change it. Press the aot button then press the two up buttons together to raise it to 1.
AOT is set at 3. I set it there when burning less than ideal pellets and works well. The stirrer does rotate when I hold in the AOT button but not when running normal. I noticed last night after manually turning it, it rotated about a quarter turn then stopped.
The manual rotation is smooth. I unplugged, replugged, pressed blower speed buttons together and the lights came on showing both the heat range and blower speed that I had the stove set at (7/9). I did not get a single number showing pellet/corn/pits.
Did the procedure again. Press and quickly release. Still no single number - both windows light up showing the feed rate and blower speed. Stove is off now. When "on" if I manually turn the stirrer with the AOT button, the stirrer will work when released for about 1/4 revolution then stop. Any thoughts?
On the right side of unit, behind the decorative panel, is the stirrer motor assembly. There is a gear that attaches to the shaft of the stirrer. There is an Allen key set screw that holds the gear to the shaft. It may be slipping. Tighten it. Hopefully that is it and not the stirrer motor.
Sorry pal. It is the blower speed Buttons. Thanks everyone. I'll try the volt meter later today. The stirrer will continuously rotate as long as I hold in the AOT button. To check mode I've been pressing the "blower speed" buttons not the heat range. The instructions say blower but perhaps it is the heat range on my model.
