I'm running my brand new stove on constant temp. I wanted more heat in my living room so I turned the the fan on to move more heat out of the stove. it's running on 1. It's now piling heat out like it's on 3. Isn't supposed to stay at the same level? (I'm talking flame size) haven't changed any settings and the external thermostat is hooked up. Everything I've read says it doesn't use thermostat to read because in that it's not looking for a temperature. What's going on? Look at the size of the flame! Temperatures outside have gone up 5 degrees. I'm going to turn the fan off and see if it goes back down. The second picture is 1 from yesterday. Still waiting for it to go down. Third picture is 1 today. The second is the same size as this morning at 1. So now I'm confused. Temps haven't changed inside or out during this test. And it appears that the flame did go down a little bit. Certainly not much. So it's not showing the difference I experienced. I just checked and I've lost a degree. So it's a pretty useless post. But I have to ask why the flame size change on the same setting as yesterday. That's the old p61 in the back ground. So I'm going to turn the fan on again and see what happens. The temperature at the thermostat is 84 with the fan off. Will see what happens.

I have a large ceiling fan almost on top of it that's blowing down forcing air out of the room to heat the rest of the floor. It worked for the last 2 years on not so cold days like today (44f right now)
It becomes useless at some point so I turn on 2 floor fans that suck air out of the kitchen where the stove is. They really do the job. I also posted a picture on 1 now. The stove is just around the corner to the left.

More googling tells me that some how an increase in air flow through the heat exchanger (fan turned on) also increases the air flow throgh the combustion chamber, which makes no sense or Id dead by now. I did open the lid to the pellet hopper and it went ballistic, but that's not the same. They suggest a few other combustion chamber leaks but again the convection fan cannot be connected to the combustion chamber or if be dead from carbon monoxide poisoning. I've turned the fan back on and I'll see what hsppens. The door seal is tight the ash pan is tight. I open it and it almost goes out, same with the door. I can see line of exhaust debris inside the ridge that the door closes around and again it almost goes out when I open it

In the mean time I've checked the exhaust temps anywhere from 75 to 101. The exhaust pipe was cleaned out during the summer. Apparently you don't get an accurate reading with a IR gun it reflects off of it.

Try blowing the less heated air at the room the stove is in and report back your observations

From the distribution fan at the back right of the stove

The fan, in effect, is pulling more heat from the stove. The P61a is in stove mode, so it is trying to keep the stove at a constant temp. When the stove cools off, the flame is increased to heat the stove back up.

Use the thermostat/auto ignite on room temp to work around it

Not a big fan of turning my heat source on and off. Once it's cold enough I like to run on 24/7. Be another month before that happens unless it's for a couple of days on and off. I was goofing around with it yesterday and I don't think it works either. I switched it to 50 (1) and it stayed on although it was low 70s. There's a shot the external heat sensor location
The temperature at the sensor is pretty well 80 while the stove is running. And stays running. No error codes saying it's not working right. In fact the whole kitchen is in the 80s when it's running that's why I suck air out of it.
