The Maine SWEAT will sponsor the first ever one day workshop/symposium on a date to be determined in October, 2018, in the northern part of the state. The symposium will be an opportunity to owners of wood heat systems, advocates and practitioners of commercial scale modern wood heating technology to come together for the day, with the following objectives:
A 2nd Maine Wood Heat Symposium will be held in southern Maine in the fall of 2019.

- Learn from each other on best operating practices
- Learn about new technology advances
- Meet vendors and purveyors of services related to pellet and chip heating of commercial buildings
- Hear from the Maine SWEAT program, including first presentation of a statewide study summarizing the economic and environmental benefits of modern pellet and chip heating in Maine.
- Build a community of wood heat advocates who can work together to advance commons interests
A 2nd Maine Wood Heat Symposium will be held in southern Maine in the fall of 2019.
