Last weekend we had some heavy snow. While walking in from the woodpile tonight I looked up at the chimney and there is still snow on my leeward side. The stove has been run pretty hard the past few days as we've been down to -4 and another couple of days with less than 10F. I guess I am not losing much heat from the insulated liner with kaowool stuffed around the top of the chimney.

Some of you guys with icicles might not be crazy... or maybe I'm one of you nut jobs!
