I'm having my stove installed in a old fireplace with a 35 foot brick chimney. I'll have a new insulated liner installed. I'm having a new chimney cap made, is the only support needed the top plate? seems like a lot of liner to be supported from just the top. It'll be terminated into a "T" then into the rear of the stove.

My 35' liner from the basement has been supported by just the clamp on the top plate since 2006 and it hasn't moved an inch. The 21' one from the first floor fireplace too. Them suckers are really, really light.

That chimney is probably 35' from the ground anyway. Not from the stove top to the sky.
