I been busy. I finally started putting something back together instead of tearing something apart. My last post was before I decided to remove the surround. I decided the extra work would be worth it. I've given myself till Thanksgiving to get this done. I've been taking my time. I'd like to get it done by Thanksgiving or at least Christmas. I started about six months ago. I do more head scratching and research than I do working on it. I want to do it right the first time.
I'm doing all the interior work, I did get a mason to help me with the lentil. I'm having the dealer that I bought the stove from do the cap, liner, and final hook up and inspection. They've already been out and said they can do it. The flue measures 8 1/2 X 22 for the first 48" then opens up another 4".
The hearth is the last big job I need to do. I have lots of ideas. I need to make a decision on making a flush or raised hearth, tile or slab.
