Is there a way to slow down the room fan? The stove is now 15 feet from where we watch TV and even on level 1 it seems too noisy and fast. Also I can't tell a difference between speed 1 and 9! Can the stove be ran with the fan off?
the only thing I could see in the manual is that the room air blower will cease to operate when the internal temperature drops to 95 degrees. So it appears the fan must run to cool the stove. You mentioned that
the fan runs at the same speed no matter the setting? If so maybe the control board is faulty.
Some one will probably pop in that has experaince with your stove. In the mean time you could measure the voltage at the room fan to see if it changes in response to the speed changes. If your comfortable doing that sort of thing.
Checked it again and it is changing speed. That's not the issue anyway, I want to be able to slow down the slowest speed so that when I have the feed rate on number one I can have the fan just low enough that the stove won't overheat and shut down. I could put a solid state voltage regulator on between the control board and the fan, but if there is a way to lower it through the control board please let me know! I leave the fan on high mostly its just now that we watch TV in there I would to be able to tone it down.
