9 inch double wall

We have a home in the country that was built in the 70's. We have a downdraft from our fireplace. We need to extend our 9 inch ID Heatilator chimney pipe by about 2-3 feet. The problem as you probably already have guessed, we can't find any 9 inch ID double wall chimney pipe. I called Heatilator and they said to bad, so sad. Is there anyway we can resolve this problem without spending 1800.00 dollars or more to have a complete removal and replacement of our chimney liner? The existing liner is in great shape and it extends 3 feet from our roof but it is lower than the highest peak of the house. Thank you in advance. Merrily W

Changing the chimney isnt realy a option either. The firebox and the pipe go together.. so it would be a complete gut out. Im not sure if Extenda Flue works on old triple wall or not. I would go to there site. (craig?)

I'm sure a sheetmetal shop could fabricate a piece for you if you give them the proper dimensions. I know it won't "snap" together like the original sections, but it will certainly stay in place with a few screws...
