[Hearth.com] A Friendly Visit

A friend at work told me awhile back that he had a locust limb come down in his yard and wanted me to come cut it up and take it away. Well, we finally met at his house yesterday after work. The limb was decent sized so I got a nice little stack of barkless Locust. Even though it is a small score, from what I have been reading, ScottyOverkill would be thrilled. The best part is my friend also had Gluten free beer and bread for burgers to provide me dinner as well. Due to health issues, I cannot have Gluten. Have cherished every Yuengling, Lionshead, Dukane, and Octoberfest I ever drank. They are now just a great memory.

Looks like a great score no matter what size, especially BL! Hey, was wondering, do u remember what gluten free beer it was? The wife found out recently she cannot have gluton anymore. Instead of her drinking beer, she's been drinking the harder stuff

Estrella Damm Daura Is what I was drinking. It is good. Imported from Spain, only comes in 4 packs and is $7.00. I got New Grist the other day. It is good, but not as good as Estrella, but it comes in 6 packs for $8.99. Anhiser Bush makes Redbridge, it is $7.99 a 6 pack but contains corn syrup. That turned me off. Hard Cider like "Woodchuck" Is Gluten free, but is like drinking an Apple Pie. I drink it too fast. There are many others out there. As you are learning, a gluten-free diet is expensive.

Nice score.
Don't get much better than a load of locust topped of with beer & burgers :)

What's under the BL? Almost looks like some White Ash....

A fine pile of locust for brother Locust to keep Mrs Locust warm.

I noticed that ash right away. Locust added to it is sweet! Sounds like you had a good time too. That makes for a nice day.

Oh oh, Scotty will tell you that Black Locust CONTAINS GLUTEN; and you HAVE to give it to him to save yourself health issues....;lol

That Scotty, always looking out for others!

cant go wrong with dinner and a limb, all gluten free
