I was procrastinating by doing a little Googling and came upon this site: http://gulland.ca/fhs/temperature.htm

Interesting in general, but I think it'd be a must read for people having trouble with poor draft and smoke spillage. Fairly understandable. It helps put the message across about the importance of chimney heights, flue temperatures, and how the design of the house can have a large effect.
