A local house explodes today......

one dead, two survivors......
ATF is on the scene now and it's being treated as a crime scene. It's ugly.....
 
Sounds worse than ugly.

They are claiming there may have been a bomb.....a vendetta....from a perp who was supposed to be sentenced today for something or other. He never showed up at the hearing.......Not sure about the meth house thing, Nate. Hearing all kinds of stuff about it....
 
House is completely wiped off of the map.....there is nothing but debris. Looks like a missile hit the place.

In this life we dig our own grave.........
 
We had a house blow up in Ohio last year, propane line had a leak and the newly filled tank emptied into the house. Furnace lit and kaboom. We felt that boom 10 miles away, made me sit straight up in bed at 4am. Nothing left of that house either.
 
What's amazing in some of the house gas explosions is that people inside survive.

We drive by there every Sunday on the way from Patton to Hollidaysburg. This is the first I heard anything about this. (I guess I should read some local news sometime. I get all my news off the internet so I don't often know what's going on locally.)

If you are gonna be in a gas explosion you would prefer to be in the center or at the flash point. The real power is at the outer edge of the explosion.

This was, without a doubt, bomb......
The guy was NUTS......he tried to make a big bomb before but failed......

Holy cow. I think I would rather put up with a few drive by's with small arms than a bomb.

Ill have to test out the theory some day.................not
 
up here rural and explosion like this would equal meth lab....has not happened yet...but I know there are a few around the outer fringes of every rural area

Stupid houses you can stay away from...stray bullets from cars can travel to you....so not sure which is worse
 
Reading between the lines, the Shaner guy ratted out his buddies, one of which blew up his house. One thing that sticks out to me is that the prosecutor is related to the defense lawyer. Small town?
