Few more pics as I assess my spring project,which will be to haul this 28 in diameter oak out of this steep incline as well as casualties it took down when it fell. Also pics of its daddy seven feet across the base the pictures are deceiving but it's a monster red oak.

That's awesome. I feel for you I am currently working on a white oak in a ravine kind of like that and believe me and my back that it's not easy. I'm getting it a little at a time. Good luck, great score
 
Just take a SIP...no not on your beer..Split..In...Place...much easier way to go.

Red oak is great wood but takes a long time to dry...
