Im anticipating problems I don’t yet have. My house is being renovated, requiring the extension of masonry chimney, about 8 feet, all exterior, total of 23’. See my avatar, so say I removed the intrepid and had a bk asford 25 in its place.
Could I leave a manometer? Whatever measures wc connected to pipe permanently? Do I make up some sorta linkage to adjust damper, possibly punch a small whole through center of fireplace to connect to damper? Attempt to drill through cast surround...gasp..
Anyone do this?

23' isnt to bad i would try it with nothing first
