I'm building a sauna for my Finnish wife. We're installing a wood stove we got for free and I want to add a stainless steel water reservoir to thd interior of the Firebox. How do I legitimately run the two stainless pipes through the wall of the stove where its sealed? Also, how does a fella maintain the reservoir in terms of the calcium scale that builds up in the reservoir? Can the reservoir be periodically removed and filled with some form of resolver?

What are you going to use the hot water for?

Are you looking to plumb the water into a pressurized system for the shower? That would have to be designed carefully as some disastrous results have come from the pressure of poorly built systems. Judging from the craftmanship and resourcefulness I see from that lovely building you should come up with a solution. What about something attached to the exterior of the stove rather than pipes penetrating..

5 gallon propane tank to feed a little instant hot water heater for the shower makes way more sense to me.

I drove through ponderay this summer and it’s a really nice area.

This forum makes no sense at fricken all! I cant figure out how to quote, and nothing is clear. Also the pop in advertising is obnoxious and just f ucking rude.

Anyways. ( Copy and paste! ) 5 gallon propane tank to feed a little instant hot water heater for the shower makes way more sense to me.

I wanted to tap into the free heat as the sauna is operated..

I think being "Hearth Supporters" has benefits with regards to ads.

Propane costs me 2.10 per gallon today. That little 5 gallon BBQ tank would last quite a while only providing safe , pressurized, temperature controlled, tempering water for a shower.

Heating the sauna with wood is enough of a challenge and success.
