Hi All,
I am currently renovating the first floor of my high ranch and the renovation will include the installation of a wood burning stove. After stove is installed, I plan to put up a stove veneer on the wall behind the stove as part of the décor. However, on the wall about 6 inches up from the floor is an air duct/register...it provides heat to the room from my furnace (forced hot air heating system). This duct would have to be relocated if I want to put up the stone veneer. Or is there an easier way?...can I cap off this duct inside the wall and abandon it? Have read mixed ideas about it on line.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Chris
