Hey there.. first time poster here. I've got a Morso 5660, it's been the main source of heat in my home for 3 years. I love it,. The air intake adjustment lever was initially very tight and difficult to move. Now, it' s loose, and sounds jangly and feels uneven when it's adjusted... obviously something is wrong here. I can tell that the air intake control is off. It doesn't back all the way up... The techs from the dealer we purchased the stove are very little help.(another story altogether.) Any advice on what might be wrong here? I thought I'd check before I pull the stove out and dig around.. Thanks a million for any wisdom on the matter.

Hey all.. in the meantime.. i got under there, adjusted the intake, cleaned it out well. and i'm back and running.. sorry to bother you..

Good news that you got it working. What needed adjustment? Pivot screw loose?

Thanks! Actually the pivot screw was fine.. the intake was jammed with ash.. so i made a small, pipe attachment to my shop vac., and disconnected the arm so I could really get in there.. Put it back together, worked like a champ! thanks for asking!

Very interesting. I knew that flush inserts with no ashlip can suck ash into the blower but this is the first I have heard of it affecting the intake. Makes sense. This is good info for others with this insert. Thanks for the update.
