Does anyone use an air purifier beside their pellet stove to help suck the fine particles out of the air before they get spread throughout the house? We are a family of allergy sufferers and wood heat is an allergy irritant. We’ve used a pellet stove for 14 years and just dealt with it but I am now replacing our old Englander PDV25 with a new Harman P61a and was reading somewhere about people with allergies using an air purifier to help keep the irritants to a minimum. I would like recommendations from people who use one? I’m looking at a Shark model in Costco that sounds capable of doing the job but would like to hear what brand/model other people use too.

I use Levot they have been one of the top units for years. I live in a small modular home and im running 3 way overkill as 1 is more than enough for my place. One in the household has asma and for th elongest time they would always have flair ups when they came for the weekend. So to me it was cheap insurance to keep everything to a min that may kick them up. Found out recently it was actually nothing in my home that was causing the flair ups..

When i start my stove my air purifier may kick up to a high speed for maby 3 min and then back down to a idle. Once thing i learned is do your research on filters as before i was buying units based on price and then would find out filters were stupid expensive or not available. You get what you pay for
