Looking at replacing my Areo max air purifier due to age and its getting hard to find filters that actually fit it properly. Been looking at a Morento, or Levoit since they seem to be a consistent in the reviews and reports. I can get honeywell locally but i had one of those years ago and found it quite noisy and not really that effective. The one thing i like about the Morento is it has front and rear filters if i go with the one that has no smart app for it, they also have different filters for different environments.

Well ended up going with the Morento since on most review sites it rates in the top 1-3 in the ratings and has several filter options available. Not to mention it was 47% off plus it had a $40 off coupon. For that price it was almost cheaper than trying to find filters for the old areo that do not fit properly..

sent the above one back as it had no prefilter so would be making more filter changes than i would need to do with a prefilter. Ordered a levet we will see how this one works, have a older one in another room and its always seemed to work well..

Interesting that no one commented yet i know alot of us run air filter machines.. Just one last update for the next person that may be looking for information. I ordered the Levet and the first one that came in was to small for the space so i tossed it in the bedroom to replace a older one. Ordered another for the main room and boy i'm impressed with these things, I swear if you fart in the room the sensor picks it up and increases fan speed. THey are super quiet and even on high in the bedroom i barley hear it at night. The app is one of the best i have seen for reliability and notifications.

Interesting. My first thought in reading your post was to ensure it has a pre-filter that can be washed.
I feel that air purifiers are a lot like printers. The lifetime costs (and the profits of the vendor) are highly dependent on the cost of consumables, in this case, filters versus ink/toner.

Yes I agree. The replacement one has been a good unit I'm quite happy with it. The app also works like it should. Without the prefilters I would be changing filters every few months
