So I had my annual cleaning done by the business I purchased the stove from. Well what a waste of 250 bucks. They even said this is the cleanest stove they ever seen. I do have to thank this forum for the things I learned. Here are some questions though. I showed them where I think there is a leak and they agreed I should replace the gasket. Only after a year of use I have to replace the gasket? Also after we fired it up I let if burn for 1/2 and hour than shut it down. It smell like smoke in the house and the inside was smokey. What could be the cause since it was just cleaned?

Is there a damper adjustment on the XXV that could have been moved, chocking the air supply ?

Which gasket?

Door gaskets are not hard at all to replace. May have been a bad spot in the gasketing manufacture. Tube of high temp silicone and a length of gasketing should run under $20

I understand that. I'm worried about the smoke buildup after I shut it down

Surprised that the exhaust fan does not run longer. Ours run over half hour after shutdown or longer.

Yes it does run longer but there was smoke inside which I never seen before

Old pellets? Half hour not much of a burn and possibly outdoor temp not helping with natural convection of exhaust. Short burns are like short trips on car engine, not very good.

I let it burn the following weekend and it cleared up. Just lit it to get the dampness out. Rainy and chilly here in Pa
