If I c/s/s the Ash, think it might be good to go in February?
 
We get black birch here that has that checkered bark when it gets larger, so I'm going with:

1. Black Birch
2. Hickory
3. Ash
4. White Oak

Nice haul!

Could be Knots, in my woods that bark would be cherry..
 
A good sniff would probably tell the tale. (Don't let the neighbors see you sniffing your wood pile).

I'll let my Wife smell my wood, she has a great sense of smell........get your mind out of the gutter:)
