I have seen nothing but the black ones in, around all my firewood. This could be a Roman augury, or maybe I am looking into this a little too far...third shift leaves me with allot of time at night when I am not working. Any of you have any beliefs/laughs at this old time saying?

I never used em for bait, I used to toss them in my sisters hair when I was a kid, it used to get all tangled up in there.

Solid black with no middle at all?
Eek!
I guess we'd better get ready for a very long and very cold winter.

Every one of them, all black, no orange at all. Weird, this is the first time I have ever seen them like that.
