You've got them right where you want them Pagey...My bunch has been ruined by wood heat. The slightest cool snap, and they are gathered around the cold, unlit stove asking, "When is daddy going to build a fire?!" I know, first world problems, right?![]()

My little nephew (2 years old) that the wife babysits, said he was cold this morning. He helped me load up the stove and we fired it up. I sat there on the floor with him for probably an hour, just staring at it. I said I did it for him, but it was for me too. Good stuff.LOL, I think it's the exact opposite, truth be told.

August was the only month we didn't have any fires but by mid-September I was burning almost daily in the morning and evening and a couple times all day. But then on September 29th we got on a plane and crossed the Pacific and the Rockies, landing in Colorado Springs for a six month stint, after which we'll return to our mountain top home in Japan where I'm sure I'll light the stove the day I get home!
) so no heat and lots of open windows. I have yet to see any snow on Pikes Peak but several years ago when we were here the kids went trick or treating in temps that dropped to the teens so you never know! But alas, the closest I'll get to any fires this year is the gas fireplace and even that is more for decorative purposes anyway.
