I'm getting ready to put up a chimney to service the 30NCH I picked up earlier this year.

I've decided on Selkirk Metalbestos and started ordering parts. I recollected I have several sections of straight pipe salvaged from someplace or another years ago. Four straight 18" pieces and a chimney cap.

Below are some pics. Are these in good enough condition to use? One, I'm quite sure is not. The long-way seam is bulged out. The others look ok. Certainly not enough to make a massive difference in the install cost but it would help if I can use them.

1) Will these mate to the chimney pieces I've ordered? (Selkirk Metalbestos 6UT-36 6-Inch X 36-Inch Stainless Steel Insulated Chimney Pipe)

2) Are they in good enough condition to use?

The couplings have not changed. They should make up fine. You have obvious corrosion on two of those pieces. Use the two good ones. Ditch the others.

Those are quite old - from a 70's or 80's era installation.

This is for a 30NC, 6" flue. I've ordered but haven't gotten the first pieces yet to compare. I'd hoped I could use a couple pieces and save a little, but it sounds like not. C'est la vie.
