The jet stream is stuck. We are locked under a high that is in the up lobe of the JS with nothing but dry sunny weather predicted. Daytime temperatures pushing 50º. Not good for our snowpack in the mountains or for local acquifer recharging.

It's a dud of a winter up here north of you as well...
I'm still doing fall things instead of winter things.

Snow in Myrtle Beach! Trade the clubs for shovels...Golf cart for snowblower
I have mine ready to go. Just replaced the shut off valve for the second time...reminder to self - do not put pliers on the 2cent plastic valve and tug it into position

Well i can say in St.Louis i have used 15 splits from saturday thru tonight. So not really that cold. Just normal cold.

Also waiting on a good snow storm to use my new mini skid I made a snow plow for. :P

It's been mild here in PEI. They closed the schools today, as we had quite a bit of snow last night. I would say maybe 4 or 5 inches of fairly wet now. After lunch the sun was out a bit, and I spent a couple of hours snowblowing, clearing the jeep off, and some shoveling. That is the most we had all at once, and it should stick around. We might get some more, and then going down to -15C Wed morning and sunny. I'm glad I replaced some parts ect on the 2009 Ariens a couple of years back. Works great. Starts first pull.

We're in a cold snap. Supposed to hit -28 actual temperature both Thursday and Friday night with "extreme cold" advisory's already posted and wind chills to -45... Fighting too many coals and not enough heat.

So an interesting observation of myself (or so I think...). Or maybe just an observation of the power of relativity...

A month and a half ago when the daily high was forecast for 15 above it was a day to stay inside and stoke the fire and putz with indoor projects and not leave the house. Right now a day forecast for 15 above is reason for excitement and the day to get outside and get some stuff done and go out grocery shopping...

Yes, same here. If it was 30 during the day, it was cold. Now if it's 30 I'm happy...
