Hi,

Here are pictures of new Accentra corner install, still have to trim foam on outside flange. Last picture is proof of how nice the heat is from wood pellet so, he is so enjoying it! Don't know if you can see but if you look close at bottom of hearth and rug you will see about a 1/2' space. When I built hearth I installed 5 small 3 wheel dollies so when I need service or cleaning I can just disconnect pipe and roll out away from wall!

I have a few more of the outside but could only upload three in this message. Thanks everybody for all your tips and help prior to doing my first newbie install!!

Wow that's a really nice job!

It looks great. Happy burning. BTW, I see you have two chick magnets now...the stove and a dog :-)

Nice looking stove & install Millhouse.....should keep the important members of the house nice and warm......and the human beings that live there too!

Looks Great

He also is in charge of the remotes !!!!! It's a dogs life.

Looks great! Love the look of that Accentra.
Your dog looks so content, good luck finding a place to sit down.

Ok, questions:

My living room is going to be laid out similarly....couches adjacent to the corner stove. ('cept, I don't have the big window behind the floor lamp). So, how is it sitting on the end of those couches, with the stove running? too hot?

Is your rolling hearth sitting on carpet, or is that a bare floor? If its carpet, I'm surprised that it rolls that easily.
I was thinking of using those hard plastic furniture moving thingies under the feet of the stove. someone here once wrote that it worked well for them.

venting: is that regular "duravent" pipe? how thick are your outside walls? (4" or 6"?). Looks like you have just an appliance adapter, a 45, and single straight pipe out through the thimble. is that so? I was doing some rough measuring, and thought I would need a 1' adjustable to reach the through-pipe, but I have 6" walls.

Looks good! I'm right behind you...

Chuck,

I am not sure I understood exactly where you think you want to use the 1' adjustable vent pipe, but I want to let you know not to use an adjustable piece in the thimble. You must use a solid piece of vent pipe.

yes, I understand that the pipe through the thimble has to be 1 solid piece. I'm thinking that the end of that solid piece won't reach the stove. I have a "kit" with a bunch of 1' sections of pipe. I want to go out to a T, then up a few feet....the wall bracket for the outside pipe will hold the pipe 3" off the outside wall. 3" + a 6" wall, plus the sheathing, plus siding...plus it looks like that harman thimble has some thickness...there may not be much left sticking into the room, or the stove will be too close to the wall. So I may need another short piece to reach the stove.

Heat blows right out it's not too bad. Air comes out and heads more upward then to the sides and if does get too hot we will just re-arrange furniture as needed.

Yes, hearth is sitting on berber carpet. It rolls, take a little bit of effort but I cannot even begin to think how we would move without wheels, plus we are planning on installing wood floors in the spring so I was planning ahead for that too. Yes, I thought of the hard plastic sliders but I thought that would defeat the purpose of having fire proof hearth, so opted for the dollies instead.

venting: Is metal-fab. Yes walls are 6 inch thick. I have the stove adapter then 1 45 degree elbow then 2 foot straight pipe thru thimble then jet end cap.

You are going to be real happy with you new stove!
Great install!
I have the same stove (first year) and so far it has performed fantastic.

Just a quick question on your Harman Accentra freestanding install

I have purchased the same stove partly because it comes with the option of a small footprint cast iron hearth pad. Has anyone used this hearthpad. The dealer told me with this type of small pad I don't need the larger style hearths. Comments from anyone who has used this smaller hearthpad and have they had any insurance/code questions because of it?

By the way love how the dog is sacked out and I can't wait for our stove as well.

Thanks

Looks great,I knew you would have no trouble !

Love the pooch on the couch,my two meatballs let me share the couch with them if I am lucky.
