Our stove will not stay on set temp. It runs 12 degrees higher. Also the ashes are going everywhere. They only go in front part of ash pan. They are all around the outside of the ash pan and when we open the door they are all inside of there. What is the problem?

Ash goes everywhere in every stove. Thats why we preach cleaning frequently. Temp probes are not extremely accurate on a lot of the box store stoves. Adjust the stove to your comfort level

It ain't no central furnace....lol

Then adhere to it. What it don't ell you is keep it clean, Fly ash IS always an issue.

What heat range are you running it at? (How many lights on the bar graph display are lit?)

If you’re on 1, then thermostat mode won’t do anything. The stove can’t run any cooler than that. All you can do is turn it off once in a while.
