Anyone that is a coal burner, that has the means to pick up 500 lbs. of coal, check out this ad for free coal. (broken link removed to http://nh.craigslist.org/zip/5205488189.html)

He'll even help load.
 
That is a lot of work for the equilivant of 10 bags...
Sounds to me like it is loose coal in a bin.
