Auger motor turns, but no pellets

My auger motor is turning, quickly, but the auger itself does not spin. I shop vac'd the pellets clear and it will turn on its own with a little "Help" but goes back to not turning when you stop. No jams.

It looks like the motor has a transmission, and that seems the problem. As I took the motor off and fired it up. Seems very strong at the gear.

Any tip son what could be the issue, or is a new motor combo the only way to go?

There may be a set screw or hairpin clip that connects the auger to the gearbox shaft. Can you see the output shaft of the gearbox, to see if it's turning?
 
Here is a tip Son,
Remove the auger and see how it connects to the auger shaft. It may be disconnected or loose.
