Question:
hi- my neighbor has a wood burning stove she is willing to give us, as she does not use it. i believe that the brand name is "Better Ben's". i think this stove is at least 10-15 years old, or older. my question is relating to emissions: is this stove a "dirty" stove (high emissions), or moderate. does the company still exist that made this stove? please advise! thanks
Answer:
It was called "Better n' Bens" and it is an older (uncertified) dirtier-burning model. However, by using the wood burning hints located at https://www.hearth.com/what/specific.html you can make the best of it.
