When I lived up north, my goal was always to be finished with my firewood by March 1. Not only to get a jump on seasoning, but mostly so I could turn my attention to bass fishing from March to October.

Now that I live in GA, and no longer have a wood stove for my heat, it's all fishing - 365.

I know there were a few anglers on Hearth.com, so I know you may appreciate these:

I got this one Sunday after church between rain storms. The one on my lap in July. They sure grow them big in GA!

Holy bucket mouth. Yep, longer growing season and in some cases they are actually a different strain of fish. Commonly called Florida strain.
