Here's one of the larger trees in the woods behind my house. It used to be a Tree Farm area, so I have to assume they missed this one for some reason. I assume it is Hemlock, although I am not very familiar with northern forests....

Tell you one thing - any logger around here would salivate! It is fairly straight and stays wide the whole way up - my guess is over 100 feet high, but hard to judge. Perhaps 3.5-4Ft Dia. at base....

In the west they'd call it a sapling, but in the logged over east it's fairly impressive.
