Finally have the stove onto its new pad. Next step is to install the icc stove pipe that was used for the previous stove that was here. The princess has three pre drilled holes in the flu collar and I can't figure out how to mark and pre drill the first section of pipe so that the holes will line up with the holes of the collar. The ICC pipe has the exterior wall that covers the collar so you can't see the holes. I already made a paper template marking the hole to transfer to the pipe section but still didn't line up. How is this done?
Thanks

Make a pencil mark on the stove top outside of the flue collar so that you can see it with the stove pipe in place. Measure to the center of the hole in the flue collar and then place the pipe. Drill the hole at the correct height, aligned with the pencil mark.

Thanks Begreen I will try that. Nate379 the manual says to use three metal screws at all joints so I guess thats why there are three factory holes in the flu collar.

x2 that sounds perfect!

I don't have any screws at that collar.

Either do I, only way my double wall adapter piece *maybe* comes off is if the stove falls through the floor. If I ever had to remove that piece I'd have to cut/grind it off since I put it on with a hammer and wood block.

Now that I think about it, the double wall adapter might be screwed onto that piece. My double wall pipe isn't though... actually nothing holds it on the stove other than the slip fit from teh adjustable pipe. Used to be some screwed, but it was a real pain to get on a ladder to pull them out to clean the chimney so I left them out. Takes a bit of force to slide the pipe up so I don't see it being a problem.

Screws are for single wall pipe. If you tighten screws through the outer wall of the double wall you will crush the outer wall down. Like Nate, I only have screws holding the slip section extended. None on top and none on bottom even though there are holes in the stove's collar but those are for single wall.
