Has anyone found any cool sales upcoming on Friday for the pyro in your family (which is me in this case).

Thanks

Black Friday + Woodburning Junkies + Fire poking implements= extreme danger. I don't plan on being anywhere NEAR a store on friday.

No BFS for me . . . no siree . . . I plan to stay as far away from the Malls and stores as possible on Friday. Instead my plan is to either cut some wood or go to Plan B and spend some time with my sister and brother-in-law who are visiting from Alaska.

Black Fridays for guys are to be spent in front of the fire thanking yourself for all of the $$ you are saving on oil/electric/gas because of your hard work and efforts and hopeing that your wife isnt spending all the rest of it!

I'm with the rest of you guys.
Staying home in front of a warm fire!

No shopping for us Friday. The well pump was replaced yesterday and our shopping money went to a guy in a Ford truck. >:-(

On my schedule for Friday is to drop off the wife's car that evening at George's for an inspection and to get her studded tires put on. The rest of the day, she'll be working and I'll be napping, so please, no calls.

I'd rather burn my arm on one of my stove doors than be anywhere near a retail outlet on friday. Rick

We never go to malls. The thought of fighting crowds on BF seems like a form of torture. It's beyond me to figure out why anyone want to inflict this upon anyone, least of all their self?

christmas shopping is almost complete...online shopping is a wonderful thing

Agreed. Friday will be spend watching Tropic Thunder on DVD and eating leftover turkey right from the container (with the stove cruising).

Brother and I were having a conversation on a black friday website. "blackfriday dot com" I says. "Nope, blackfriday dot org" he says. Long story short, DO NOT GO TO THE "DOT ORG" version. well, unless you are lonely and are doing a different kind of shopping than I am this friday. Turns out we were both wrong; THEblackfriday dot com was the one to use. Live and learn.

Actually the super "official" website is bfads dot net. If you click on "ad scans" in the top right, they have the scanned copies of the ads listed. I'm not wandering out either, thats for crazy people. Last time I went out, I got a nice tire print right over the top of my shoe from getting blindsided by a shopping cart in the electronics section of Walmart. I got the last dvd player, but didn't know if I would make it out..alive.

I am going for two Nintendo DS bundles for my kids at wally world and hope to only come out with scrapes and minor bruises for them.

Actually I am hoping the DS trend is over so I will not have to fight for them since they have been out for more than a couple of years. The Wii systems are still pretty hot though but I had that covered this past summer.

Just think while you guys are sleeping my butt will be out the door at 4:15 AM to be there in time to get them. My wife does very little of the Christmas shopping so I go and get-r-done

I agree with Rick, Id take a good burn to the arm also over shopping. Except I would change the Friday in his sentence to "anyday"

i'll be bucking up two more cords for next year's BF

BINGO I second that idea

Well, I admit it, I am doing my first "Black Friday" shopping this year. Northern Tool is having a store wide 10% off sale and there is a 37 Ton Log Splitter with my name on it. Yes, it has my name on it. I put a hold on it Tuesday along with a few other wood handling items. I figure 10% off of over $2000 is a good enough reason to break my "no shopping" rule.
I came home Tues. night and listed my old splitter on creig's list and the first caller took it. Now I am committed.........I have two stoves to feed. Must split wood.........
