Hey folks!
New to the world of wood burning stoves and picked up a BK Princess today. I want to build my own hearth pad but want to make sure of the size. On BK's site it says this: (broken link removed to http://www.blazeking.com/dealerarea/hearthpad/PE1006%20hearth%20pad.pdf)
I'd like to keep it minimal to save space (I plan on moving both stove and hearth pad in the summer to the garage) but still have it safe.

Hey @anydaynow.. I have a new to me king that was just put in and I build the hearth real simple.. plywood on the bottom, then cement board on top, then tiles on top.. I had extra tiles, luckily as a couple were broken with placement of stove.. 4x3 if the size of the hearth if I remember..
PS, I kept it floating in the event it ever had to be moved..
