Well finally got my block off plate made and installed. I had to make it in 2 pieces because of the angle of the pipe coming thru the damper area. I used Roxul insulation above it. It isn't the prettiest install but it will work. Sorry no pictures !!!!
 
Cant wait till it gets cold now to run the stove to see how it helps !!!!
