Blower for NC30

I'm debating about buying a blower for a NC30. I'm having a little trouble moving hot air. I have some corner fans in the hallway entrance, ceiling fans in the main rooms. I put a fan behind the stove and took the blower plate off so it blows on the back and up a little. With that fan running it cools the stove off faster than I like. Would the blower help and is it worth the 170 bucks?

I wasn't overly impressed with the volume of air that the blower moves for the nc30 but it definitely helped. I noticed the temp difference upstairs went up much quicker than before. You will also notice a big difference in the temperature difference on the top of the stove too.

I just bought one and would say that I am reasonably satisfied with it. I like not having a bunch of junk (oscilating fans) everywhere. It directs the air right where it needs to be, across the top. It definately cools off the stove top. I moved my thermometer to the side because I am sure it was giving a false reading. Once i get my wood stash a little better seasoned I hope to realize more of the heat this unit is capable of generating. I bought mine direct off the Englander site. That was the best pricing I saw.

The factory blower moves some serious air on high speed! I usally keep my blower fairly low and it moves enogh air. get the blower.

For my situation, the blower on my Liberty, NC30 comparable, heats close to three times the area.

I had the same question.... I went ahead and purchased the blower for my NC-30 and I think it makes a big difference. I think it is well worth the money. I also "ditto" what the above poster said about the thermostat --- withe the blower on and blowing across the top of the stove I dont think I get an accurate reading.... I used double walled stove pipe so I can't check temps there AND I have the side heat shields so I can't put it there either..... So I put the thermostat right in front of the stove pipe which shields it from some of the blowers air....

I still use house fans to move air around, but the blower definitely is worth the $170.....

Been burning with the blower for a while now. Definitely makes the difference. I have a corner install in a room with a big picture window and not so insulated walls. The blower moves the heat very well, almost whole house is warm now. The way the house is set up I can't get heat into my family room (which has a gas fireplace). It moves most of the heat conveniently into my son's bedroom and not mine!
