Anyways, a little Stihl MS170, seems in pretty good shape. Picked it up for $100 which is pretty good around here, usually people are asking that for a Homelite that doesn't run.
Was sort of wondering, took a look once I got there, fired right up after a few pulls but chain was on backwards Don't know if that's why he was selling it so cheap, but ah well. It'll be a perfect saw to keep in the back of the truck when I'm out with the kids and camping.
Is there any way to tell how old it is? Looks to have the 16" bar on it, bar says "picco" chain on it. What should I be looking to put on it for general cutting/firewood use?
