I'm thinking about buying this for a backup in case my Harman P38 fails. I trust you guys opinion and was wondering if the price was a little high or about right? Is this a pretty good stove? I'm heating a 2000 square foot doublewide and it may be overkill too. The Harman sits right in the living room and we hardly ever run it past 3, but the heat doesn't get to the back rooms very good either....thanks http://parkersburg.craigslist.org/for/4588323259.html

Mine has served me very well in a cape home in Maine and used as the primary source during the heating season. $800 including the pipes is a good deal because the are about $2000 for just the stove new. To see if it was maintained well there are two small metal plates held in place with screws in the fire box. That's the biggest area of soot collection.
