It was 33 degrees with morning with a wind chill of 23.

I had the oil burner set at 58 degrees and it was running this am. Still have 1/4 of a tank from 3 winters ago and refuse to put more in it!

Ordered the high limit switch for our stove yesterday. Hopefully it comes soon.

Currently 52, with a bit of cool weather coming for the next several days.

Today high of 66. 39 expected tonight.

Suck it winter.

Hello

Monday morning it was 43 Deg F outside and pretty chilly.

I picked up a backup stove this year. So I am limping along with that. It was an old broken P61a for the converted garage under the house. If I open the door to the basement and upstairs, it just about heats the whole house. I think it needs a new control board or room sensor since it does not control the temp very well.

I have to order another pipe to get my main stove hooked up for this year. A p61a also. I popped in the ignition upgrade kit, in that one after I got it broken also. To make it look good, I got the new door and nickel trim kit, then added a hopper extension for better usability.

Do you think having a backup stove is a good idea?

Not bad at 30 this AM. Was supposed to be 25. Never got above 40 though yesterday but at least it didn't rain.

Lows of 30, sunny highs in the mid fifties. My new insert is at the dealer 60 miles away. Getting the hole ready.

I cant speak about outside...but inside it was mostly warm with 76 degree's of warmth.

I'm with you, same temps for me too. Looks as if things are about to change for us. I may be into shoulder fires in the am and pm the end of this week.

about 47 here this morning. Only in the high 50's here for the next week.

Woke up to a balmy 39 degrees stove was working just fine and the downstairs was a nice 72....high of 63 today.

Indeed! I bought the first Castille in 2005-06 and the second for the room over the garage in 2008. That is exactly what I had in mind. If I loose a part on the stove in the house, I can cannibalize or just swap.

Good idea and that is a very good stove too. It is nice and if there is a question about the control box working. In your case you can just try it in the other stove! Great plan!

Coldest I've seen so far is 36* outside but I haven't even closed ALL my windows yet :)

Ski resort is opening today in MN. Wild Mountain :( I thought it was cool out, but. I guess having X-mas stuff out is not really out of line.

24::F at 5 AM but warmed up to 48::F

28F last night...

52 yesterday at this time, 31 now. Still don't have this years stash yet. At least 2 more weeks. Still have 10 bags of last years stuff, plus my emergency stash of 30 bags in the basement :)

31 now, low 40's for a high the next 5 days.

Mid 50's here with lows in the low 30's expecting freeze over the next couple nights!! P35i jus cruising along burning GS..

Burn Baby Burn:cool::cool:

38 this morning. glad I let the stove idle overnight

Mid forties at night, high fifties in the day. Haven't had a frost yet this year. We've had a persistent high pressure area stalled over the Pacific NW for the last week, foggy mornings, sunny afternoons.
