We have a double door buffalo stove with the top double door oven in very good condition. We were thinking of selling it since we are moving. We can't find any information about it online other than someone else who had posted something on this website about their buffalo stove a few years ago. Their pictures showed that it was painted a shiny black. Ours has the original flat black paint. Does anyone have an idea of how we can find out what it is worth? Thank you.

There is no book value for classic stoves. I’ts worth whatever buyer and seller agree upon. Values also vary greatly by season. Now is the time to get top dollar. Watch local prices on Craigslist to get an idea what others are asking. If it has a UL Listing tag, it can be installed and used legally in your state. Without that, it’s worth whatever you can get since the buyer is installing against code and many insurance companies will have a problem with it.
I’ll move this to the Classic Stove Forum since it was posted in the Fisher Forum which is specifically for Fisher information.

Thank you for the information and moving the question to the appropriate forum. We are new at this and thought we had put it in that section. Because of the insurance issue and non UL tag, we were hoping someone would want it for it's uniqueness since we can't find another one like it for sale. Thanks again.

It certainly is unique and someone may be interested. Try selling it for $300 obo and see what happens. Now is peak season.
