Bulk Hopper Storage Auger Feed System

I have a Harman PF100, had in mind installing a large capacity hopper system next to the furnace - However the project will not be continuing at this time.

I currently only have the auger system - motor, reduction gear, screw/auger and an inductive sensor.
The sensor is installed on your main system's hopper - once pellets are fed from the bulk storage to your main unit's hopper - the bulk auger stops feeding pellets.

Unit is used, I tried it when I first got it, here are some pictures of the unit. .....

Thought I would also share what something like this looks like for some interested people!!

Anyone interested in purchasing something like this? I'm interested on what they go for used.

Why are you stopping? I have the complete bulk hopper unit....great time saver. I will be selling mine as soon as to build an outdoor bin. I will purchase the "proximity sensor" and the relay online and combine with another delivery system (more then likely vacuum) I have a bulk pellet dealer in place but will continue to look as it seems they want more to "hold the bags"

Hey I was thinking...you are aware that this system is designed to maintain the "air tightness" of your stoves hopper? That said you will need to purchase the adaptor that hooks this to the hopper it will feed....then the hopper you draw from will have to be air tight too...a tall order. I have the bulk hopper so I see the sealing on its door. I guess their figuring ...no air ...no hopper fire.
As for the value you have...you have the "nuts n bolts" of Harman's system..tried and true. little if any "engineering" necessary to get it up and running. Its not some "rube Goldberg" arrangement that will breakdown all the time....$ 8 or 9 hundred..used...New hopper has got to be over $2000.00

$800-900? Looks like I will be posting this auger system in the 'for sale' section on hearth.com and craigslist listings.

Im aware it needs to be airtight - Typically a hole would be cut on the side of the PF100 hopper, a flexible 2-1/2" line would be secured to the unit and then up to the discharge of the auger feed - secured again with a hose clamp.

Also the sensor would be installed in the harman pf100 hopper at the level you want the pellets at and this is when the bulk auger will stop feeding. Easy to setup if you have a bulk hopper

Alain, the plate that attaches to the furnace or boiler hopper holdes botth the flex hose and the sensor. Probably won't cost that much to buy from Harman to sell with your unit. Just installed mine--cost was $2049. The bulk bin is nice but that would be easy to rig up if someone got a good auger/sensor for $800-$900!

Posted it on Craigslist Maine for two days - Just sold for $800.
