Sounds interesting. When I was a kid my Grandfather had a freezer that was powered by kerosene.....yes it burned K-1 and kept ice cream like a rock....believe it or not

Well, It sounds interesting, but inefficient. My camper keeps food cold on a flame the size of two matches. seems like a wood fire could keep my house cold enough to store ice cream.

I believe the RV fridges run off ammonia.

With enough insulation and thermal mass you may only need to burn once a day.

Maybe a cross between an old ice box and a fridge would be the answer?

I will burn that fridge when I come to it.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
