Missouri
Hi all from Missouri where it has been -5 and 10" of snow. A big deal for us. I ordered a cab50 after reading reviews on all brands and levels I hope I made a good decision.should be here in about a week. Went to pick up a ton of pellets today and they were sold out.hope I get them before the stove shows up. I don't know the brand but they are hardwood coming up from AR. Looks like a great site with lots of info. Glad to be here. Forgot to say this is my first pellet stove. G

This is my first year and my first pellet stove. So far I am extremely happy with the performance of the cab50... Prior to this arctic blast, we would run primarily on medium when we are home/during day and low at night and keep our 2-story 1500 sq. foot, 1918 uninsulated home btwn 70-72 during day and about 65 at night. With this cold snap we run medium 80% and high right before bed and in morning to bring temp up quick then maintain on medium. A tip I've gotten off this site that I would definelty recommend would be to try a bunch of different pellet brands to figure out which ones you like best. I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing 2 tons of O'Malleys right away and I kind of wish I didn't. Compared to AWF, somersets, and BAREFOOT, they are ashy and don't produce as much heat. Best of luck!

Welcome and congrats on the new stove! We have the PS-50{same as the CAB50 with a smaller hopper} And we love it! Our 2nd full burning season-still newbies here.....This is a very informative site!!

On my 2nd year with the CAB50, in basement. Stove is a work horse and will handle any pellet out there. I put a ton of Infernos through it last year, other than high ash and dirty firebox it ate 'em like candy.

3rd season on cab50. Still running like a top.

Love my CAB50. On year 3 now...did I mention I love it? Recently finished part of our basement and sadly couldn't budget for another for down there. Picked up a Timber Ridge for $1k and, so far, wish I'd spent double on another CAB50 (or PS50). In case I forgot to mention it...I love my CAB50. Enjoy!

little cleaning update. There is a lip on this stove that is above the door. It needs cleaned off. Took me a while to find it. I thought the ash was just coming off the top of the baffles when I took them off. I think I made a good move getting this stove. especially with propane going to 5 gal. with this cold weather.
