Can I reuse a 1/4" exhaust blower gasket that is cracked in half? I have searched all over the net no luck finding the gasket for my Foxfire Lopi stove 1993-1996.

I am new to pellet stoves. Just got my first one a few days ago used in good shape. Doing the internal exhaust blower and combustion blower cleaning. When removing the exhaust blower the 1/4" thick gasket came off in two pieces. It is in good condition except for being in half right in the middle. Can I use RTV red and reuse that gasket since I can't find the right shape much less one 1/4" thick. Maybe it doesn't need to be 1/4" and I can cut my own. Would be nice if I can just reuse this one with RTV red. I have searched all over the net no luck finding the gasket for my Foxfire Lopi stove 1993-1996.

I wouldn't hesitate to try to repair it with RTV.
This is the time of year to see if the repair will work.
Don't wait until you absolutely need heat & find out that it's
blowing smoke past the repaired section.
If it doesn't hold, I think you could go to an industrial heating supply outfit &
see if they can match up your gasket thickness with a larger piece.
You may have to cut it & perforate it, but a place like that should be able to help you.

Then again, you didn't say what the length & width are.
Did you check here?

Hello
You can buy white Lytherm 12" x 12" sheets on the internet and cut a new gasket.
Just google it.

Thanks Daksy, I will try and repair it then give it a test run. Great thought to do it now before i need it.

Don2222.....I did google lytherm...not thick enough.

Mightymoe....I can't find any gasket sheets that are 1/4' thick they are all 1/8 or less. Would 1/8 work even though the current one is 1/4?

Woodmanspartsplus.com. Part SW-4.

Lopi's price is $10.00. No dealers near you ?

You are welcome.

It really depends on how clean the area is, and if the bolt threading etc... It's all about how well it's going to seal. At work it is common to use a thicker gasket material, if we don't have one on hand.

Quick google found this 1/4 sheet for 14$.
