Can't get Harman XXV out of test mode

Today shut the stove down to do a routine cleaning. Left for a few hours for it to cool down and started to clean when I got back. This is the first time I turned the stove to "test" to vent the stove when cleaning after reading posts about doing this. My cleaning consists of emptying the ash pan, vacuuming the stove, brushing ash off all sides and fins, emptying the fines box, scraping and vacuuming the burn pot, and cleaning the ESP.

Now after finishing the stove will not turn off even when the temp knob is in the off position. The combustion/blower light is the only one lit, besides power, and there is nothing I can do to stop it short of pulling the plug. The auger is not feeding pellets and turning the stove to stove temp or room temp does nothing. Short of contacting a dealer is there anything else I can try?

DID you pull the plug?
Try it, if you didn't.
Unplug for 10 or 20 seconds.
then plug it back in.
It may reset.

I've tried that. Turn it back on, set the temp knob and the blower just runs.

I would try turning the test switch off and on several times. If that doesn't do the trick I would get some spray cleaner for the
switch to clean the contacts.

OK.1 thing I noticed,after putting in my newer Harman control board,the "test" cycle after a little bit of time,ramps back the combustion motor speed,not like the old 2006 board.Also,most,if not all,vacuum cleaners create an immense amount of static electricity,which can "fry" a control board.Use the "test" mode while brushing the stove out,but,unplug the stove when using a vacuum cleaner.Yet,I still do not understand why the new version board lowered the combustion blower speed.

Do you get any blinking light status?

Never got any blinking light status when it's on. Spoke to the dealer I purchased it from to run everything by him. He basically suggested everything that's already been done. Said he's not really sure what's going on until he takes a look at it, I have an appointment scheduled for later in the week.

The one time I had a similar problem with my harman insert, my hopper lid had been slightly misaligned and the lid safety switch wasn't depressed. I think it is designed so blower stays running if lid is open. If you've got any electric skills, put a meter on and check that switch or see if you can bypass it.

More than likely you have damaged the board or the exhaust probe.

I have a sneaky suspicion it's the circuit board. Double checked the hopper lid switch and exhaust probe and believe those are working fine.

If vac switch is not closed it will keep comb fan on also. door/ ash pan door not sealed, vac switch hose knocked off ect. W/ XXV the ash pan door has places for ash to get caught in gasket area I think? You could jump the switch to verify it? It is to keep fan on in case someone leaves the door open with a live fire.

Had the tech out this afternoon, turns out it was the combustion blower. That and the paddle fan was replaced. This was the first time the stove has been serviced since I purchased it back in 2012. He was amazed at how clean I keep the stove and stated he was surprised that I hadn't noticed anything with the combustion blower before. Asked if I had ever heard the stove screeching which is a sign the motor is going. I've noticed that a couple of times over the years but thought maybe the auger was dealing with some difficult pellets.
