Is it possible to convert a dutch west catylitic stove to a non cat stove and still have it effiecient.
Thanks.

I dont believe this is possible as there will be no place for efficient secondary combustion to tak place.

And my question would be "why would you want to?" Using a cat stove effectively is a very efficient, cost effective, and non-polluting way to burn wood.

According to my VC manuals, it is a violation of Federal EPA regs to burn the stove without the CAT or with it disabled.
