Live near State College PA. Does anyone know of anywhere to purchase pellets besides Lowes or other large chain store locations. Willing to travel within 45 min. for a good price. Thanks for your help.
I personally have not burned them. However, we camp in Mexico, PA close to your area. Numerous people in our campground recommended them to me and said they are the best they have ever used. I have also heard from people on this site speak highly of them. I was going to purchase 4 ton from them about a month and a half ago for $185/ton, but did not when gas prices made it cost-prohibitive to travel from Hagerstown, MD to pick them up. The owner was willing to deliver, but would have to take 22 ton on tractor trailer to make it cost-effective. Barb was very nice to talk to on the phone. They did inquire where I lived and were not going to sell them to me directly if there was a dealership in my town. I believe they have only been manufacturing the pellets for two years now and still establishing dealers.
I would be curious to see how they burn. Maybe several of us could go together on a trailer load if the price is good. I can normally pick a years supply by May for about $190 per ton.
