I am looking into getting a pair of Stihl chaps. I see you can get different levels of material 6-9 what does everyone recommend? I am also 6' 3". For you tall guys out there, do you own 36" chaps or would you go with a 40" length. The only thing is the 40" only come in level 6 material.

Thanks

Anthony

what saw you running and with what size bar max lenght?

Biggest saw is a Ms360 with a 20"

that saw will run a 25in. bar so if you think you may ever get the 25in bar for it I would go with the 40in. 6 ply
A lot of people will wear them short but thats ok with a short bar.

Thanks for all your help Jay! I am also thinking about getting the face shield with built in ear protection. I have a buddy that works for a big company that has a Stihl dealership in it. He trying to help me out a little.

I have two of them there a great helmet system the head adjustment is very well make and keeps a lot of the chips out of your face unless it gets windy.

I have the forestry type and like it. I'd think the one with the plastic face shield might get fogged up and scratch pretty easily.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought to twitch.

When I bought my 357XP I I told the guy give me the best pair of Husquvarna chaps you have..so he did and didnt care about $$..They are the only protection between that saw and you so dont cheap out if you ask me.

yep you will hear all kinds of stuff but the truth is the 9 ply is just great for winter helps keep you warm but other than that not much.

Get the 40's. I am 6'1 and the 36's are just barely long enough. I almost wish I had the 40's...

I got a pair of husky full wrap new in the box off the bay cheap..

The only husky product I own but I like them...Still an't got around to testing them out tho...
