I have a mid 50's International Harvester. I have converted it to a keg cooler using a temperature control.
It just clicks (like a lock rotor condition). Any ideas? Do these things have a capacitor start? I troubleshot already by removing the temperature override control, but it still clicks.

TIA

you could try one of these if it's worth it.

sometimes there's a plastic housing on the three terminals coming out of the compressor that has a little thingy inside that looks like a nickel except its burned and cracked, in which case try the above.
